Description
This project started with a challenge from Fabamaq, the company where I work (www.fabamaq.com ). As part of an initiative to communicate the core values that define its culture, one of the main concepts guiding Fabamaq Gamers is Proximity.
“Life is a Game” is the motto of our company, so it made perfect sense to turn this into a real challenge. Knowing my passion for LEGO building, the team came to me with a proposal: demonstrate Proximity using LEGO and a video. But the question was – what is the best way to reveal it?
I eagerly accepted the challenge, and that’s how this build started to take shape. The result is a LEGO version of the Fabamaq logo, designed to reflect the company’s corporate colors and spirit. The video (watch it here ) showcases a few Gamers coming together to construct the model, highlighting how human collaboration and proximity can build great things.
Today, this LEGO FMQ logo is proudly displayed in our office in Porto, serving as a reminder of our teamwork and the strong bonds that unite us.
Behind the Build
Designing the FMQ LEGO logo was no simple task. From color accuracy to stability, every detail had to reflect the company’s branding while ensuring the final model was structurally sound. Using LEGO bricks to recreate typography presents unique challenges, particularly when working with curves and angles like the distinctive “Q” in FMQ.
The final result? A sleek, minimalistic, and sturdy LEGO logo model that captures both the visual identity and the spirit of collaboration within Fabamaq.
